COCONUT WOOD FLOORING

COCONUT PALM FLOORING

Coconut Palm (Cocos nucifer), is also called Indian Palm or Porcupine Wood. It is an exotic species which comes from the Pacific Islands, including Fiji, the Philippines and South East Asia. There, it is a very important feature of the natural ant cultivated landscape. There are some coconut palm plantations in Far North Queensland.

In the past, the fruit has been the basis of economic interest. Because of the large numbers of overmature, unproductive trees, coconut wood has generated considerable interest. Coconut has no annual growth rings, no rays, no heartwood, no branches and knots. Its fibrous nature makes it
hard to cut unless green - a quite unusual prospect for woodworkers. It is durable only in dry conditions.

It can be used for general structural purposes: flooring, window frames, tool handles, furniture, carving, turnery. Softer material (from higher up the stem) can be used for wall panelling and internal trim.

HARDWOOD FLOORING

Coconut wood flooring  is not a wood; it's in the palm family and is one of the fastest growing species on the planet. Coconut trees rejuvenates quickly—growing to full maturity in 5 to 6 years—making it a truly sustainable resource.

Coconut wood flooring is harvested from coconut plantations at the end of their coconut- bearing years and are then cut down and replanted with new coconut palms with the old palms made into our coconut wood flooring.

It's Unique: coconut wood flooring takes the distinctive look of palm and utilizes the latest advances in technology to convert it into the finest wood flooring available anywhere!

It's Elegant:  presents the subtle yet unique grain pattern intrinsic in flooring in either its natural light-tan color or in a medium honey-brown "carbonized" color. It's offered in vertical, horizontal or strand configurations. The vertical-grain version accentuates the linear look, while the horizontal format reveals more the true character of bamboo and Strand coconut wood has the most homogenous look. This is not engineered hardwood flooring but solid wood flooring. This hardwood flooring is better than Bruce flooring. Coconut wood has its own unique graining and is offered in either medium or soft brown shades. It 's better than bruce hardwood flooring, more natural. Not engineered hardwood flooring.
